Deadmau5′s recent history with the city of Miami has been rocky — still fresh from his dismay regarding his New Year’s Day performance at Miami’s Mansion Nightclub, which led him to swear off ever playing at a club in the party city again.

However, it seems like Joel won’t be able to stay true to his promise after he unofficially announced and confirmed a rumor about an upcoming free Deadmau5 show to be hosted in the southeastern Florida city. In attempt to squash a rumor that began floating around Twitter, Joel begrudgingly returned to his infamous social media voice to explain the reasoning for his informal announcement.

Despite his upset, he continued to share and confirm the ironically in-progress flyers for the show which will be held at Ice Palace in Miami on February 15th.
