Chart-troubling superstar David Guetta recently put together the official theme song for UEFA’s Euro 2016 football championship, a ditty called This One’s For You.
David Guetta Plans to DJ in… Space
Most DJs dream about their first out-of-state show, or their first international show; but when you’re as big as David Guetta, you have to dream just as big. One of David Guetta’s next sets may be out of this world. Literally.
In a conversation with British radio show KISS FM UK, Guetta suggested he would like to be the first DJ to spin in space.
After a flight between Paris and Ibiza in 2011 where the 46-year-old French producer played his new album for a crew of journalists, he was inspired to look upward for his next big DJ gig. Despite his desire to be the first, Guetta has his doubts about by the required training but seems passionate about making history.
Guetta played his new album for journalists as the plane soared through the air, and after that experience he says he spoke with a member of the space programme to see what training is required for a space flight.
But Guetta says he is up for the challenge: “That got me a little scared but to be the first guy to Dj in space? That would be crazy, I mean, that’s history.”
Here’s hoping we hear the French DJ blasting “Titanium” from inside a titanium bulkhead somewhere beyond the stratosphere sometime soon.
