Ministry of Sound in London will be the first club in the world to be fitted with the new Dolby Atmos, the company's newest soundsystem technology.
Artist Designs Umbrella Sound System
From sound systems so loud they could kill to sound systems built on weather accessories.
A Moscow-based artist, Dmitry Morozov has designed a portable sound system shaped like an umbrella.
The multichannel system consists of 10 mini speakers, optical relays, arduino uno and a micro SD wav player.
Dmity Morozov, the self-titled “media-artist, musician and engineer of strange-sounding mechanisms” stripped an ordinary umbrella and outfitted with an Arduino Uno microcontroller and the optical relays for a surround sound experience.
At the moment there seems to be no plans to put this out on retail market, but Morozov has posted plans and full Arduino source code should engineers want to have a crack.
