A New Calvin Harris Biography, ‘The $100 Million DJ,’ is Coming Soon
While Calvin Harris is reportedly dance music’s highest-earner, he remains a relatively enigmatic figure. The producer rarely does press any more (unless turning up in the pages of gossip magazines counts), instead focusing his attention on a lucrative Vegas residency, modeling for Armani and making hits.
So how did the goofy-looking guy who broke out with “Acceptable In The 80s” become such a big deal? The new biography, Calvin Harris: The $100 Million DJ, will attempt to answer that question, tracking its subject’s journey from “stacking shelves in his local supermarket” to stacking up #1 singles.
The book is written by veteran journalist Douglas Wight, a former reporter for The Sun newspaper. Wight’s previous books include a biography of Leonardo DiCaprio, first published in 2012. It’s unclear how involved Harris has been in providing first-hand accounts for The $100 Million DJ.
