Tyler, The Creator arrested for inciting a riot

Odd Future rapper Tyler The Creator has been arrested for inciting a riot at SXSW.

His show headlining the Converse/Thrasher “Death Match” on Thursday devolved into chaos when he told fans outside the packed Scoot Inn venue to break down the gates, leading the audience in a chant of “Push! Push!” until the gates fell. Security turned off the sound and manage to lock the gates again after a rush of people crowded into the venue, but later switched Tyler’s mic back on when another crowd chant of “Let him play!” started up. He eventually performed a 20-minute set.

On Saturday afternoon Tyler was arrested at a Texas airport, and charged with inciting a riot.
