Top 100 Djs 2015 Voting Launches 6th July
The World's biggest music poll returns
Voting for Top 100 DJs, powered by 7UP kicks off on Monday 6th July. Our annual poll is the clearest barometer of a DJs popularity on the global stage and inspires fierce debate and year-round speculation on the world’s No.1…
Can Dutch EDM star Hardwell take the crown for the third successive year? Will Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike make a final push to the No.1 spot? Perhaps the prodigal Martin Garrix can become the youngest ever winner of the poll?
Over the last 23 years, Top 100 DJs has charted the ebb and flow of genres as new sounds take hold and spread. Last year, future house star Oliver Heldens penetrated the top half of the poll, without playing EDM or trance. Since then many EDM artists have slowed down their sound - potentially ushering in a new era for the Top 100 DJs…
The only certain thing, is that nothing is certain. Every year the poll throws up surprises and curveballs, inspiring impassioned debate on social media, dancefloors and beyond.
Since launching in 1993, as an editorial feature in our 100th issue, Top 100 DJs has grown to become the World’s biggest music poll. Last year over 900,000 verified votes were counted, before Dutch EDM star Hardwell retained the No.1 position.
This year, in partnership with 7UP we will be presenting the Next UP Award to the poll’s highest new entry. The award has proved as a career marker and springboard for previous winners including Skrillex, Dyro, Nicky Romero and Deorro. We can’t wait to see who will be Next UP.
Once the voting is complete, we will be heading out to Amsterdam, where will present the No.1 Award during the Amsterdam Music Festival ahead of flying the champion back to London where they will perform at London’s Brixton Academy. Full details on the events, and the Global Tour will be announced shortly.
