The Country music world and the EDM community are becoming rather friendly. It started with Zedd teaming up with Lady Antebellum on a performance for the recent CMT awards. Now Nile Rodgers and country superstar Keith Urban are taking on the combo of the two opposing genres as they work on a new collaborative number.
Nile Rodgers Play Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' for First Time Live
Producer and guitarist Nile Rodgers performed 'Get Lucky', his collaboration with Daft Punk, for the first time at a live show in France over the weekend.
Despite it being released in April 2013, Daft Punk have yet to play live in concert since their return and Rodgers has always refused to put 'Get Lucky' into Chic live sets.
However, during a performance at Montereau Fault-Yonne in France this changed, as you can see in the video. Rodgers has not yet commented on why he chose to start playing the song.
Many other artists have covered 'Get Lucky' in the last 12 months, including Daughter, Peace, Mystery Jets, Fall Out Boy and Wilco. In February the Russian police performed the song as part of the Winter Olympics 2014 Opening Ceremony in Sochi.
