Tim Bergling - Swedish DJ and music producer, best known under the stage name Avicii. He also used the alias Tim Berg and Tom Hangs. According to the magazine Forbes, in 2013 he entered the top ten highest paid DJ world with annual revenues of $ 20 million.

Fact 1: Otto Knows and Avicii  were both class mates

Yes, Otto Jettman and Tim Bergling went to the same school together and were class mates. Alesso also attended the same school.

Fact 2: It took almost 9 months to name the infamous track known as, Levels

It all started with a unnamed track played by Avicii in the BBC Radio1’s Essential Mix on Saturday, 11 December, 2010. Fans started calling it ‘’ID’’ and it was already a big success live and on YouTube. After a while the Swede changed the song a bit and he finally released ‘’Levels’’on the 28th of October 2011.

There was a time where Avicii did everything to promote his tracks. He even sent out a copy of an early edition of Levels to DJ, Henrik B. Later he discovered that Avicii wanted to collaborate with him on Levels which Henrik declined, something he may regret now.

Always wanted to know how Avicii choose his name? Well it isn’t a hot story at all. A friend of his told him about Avici being the lowest level of the Buddhist hell and since all the names were in use on MySpace he took that one.

At the beginning of his career music blogs were good portals for Avicii to spread his music and Avicii was very active on Laidback Luke's forum. That’s how Ash Pournouri discovered the mega artist.

You’ve probably noticed something about Avicii’s clothes in the video for “Silhouettes.” The Swede is not a model for Ralph Lauren. Oh no, he’s the new face of Ralph Lauren's “Denim” and “Supply” lines.

Fact 7: Avicii’s first release was a remix of Commodore 64's theme song “Lazy Jones”

The track was already about 5 years old when Tim was only 18 years old. When you hear this song you won’t hear the typical ‘’Melodic Bromance’’style that has become Avicii’s signature sound but it does sounds cool!
