Actually, no. That really didn’t explain much. It did however elucidate the slightly loco nature of the Aoki (AKA Asian Jesus) that many of us love him for.
Over the past few years, Steve Aoki has gotten crazier and crazier with his stage antics. This includes bringing inflatable pool toys to surf the crowd in, full cakes to literally smash in his fans faces, and huge bottles of champagne to shake up and spray all over everyone.
An insider from a club in San Diego, who prefers to remain anonymous, dropped a really awesome gem of knowledge a few days ago. Apparently, back in 2007, Steve Aoki would play sets at certain venues for the price of 6 bottles of champagne. He didn’t ask for any money in return. Just champagne. He used these bottles to pray directly on the crowd, and then he was on his way.
