The SFX-owned TomorrowWorld has announced that it will not be coming back in 2016, ending months of speculation about the festival’s future.
CounterPoint Music Festival Officially Announces Cancellation
With a surprise announcement coming over the weekend, CounterPoint Music Festival in Atlanta announced it will not be taking place in 2016.
The news comes just weeks after another major music festival in TomorrowWorld also announced it's cancellation.
Last year CounterPoint boasted a stacked lineup consisting of acts like Knife Party, Dillon Francis, Zeds Dead and Rebelution among others. And unlike TomorrowWorld (which is relatedwith with the bankrupt SFX), there didn't seem to be any complications with the organizers, so this cancellation does come as a big surprise to many.
Although no official reason was given for the festival's cancellation, Counterpoint released a statement which you can read in full below:
