Now in its seventh year of existence, the Hard Summer festival once again grabbed Los Angeles’ State Historic Park by its cojones over the weekend. Featuring a roster of artists from across the electronic spectrum, the music was spread across four stages and two days, and performed for some 70,000 people. Somewhere between a high school rave and a state fair that you really wouldn’t want to bring your parents to, there were many things in abundance. Among them: syncopated hi-hats, undergarments disguised as clothing, and young people absolutely on one. Or two.

From Skrillex to fellow Bromance artist Brodinski, the EDM world has been blowing up the last day with shares of the latest music video from Gesaffelstein for ‘Hate of Glory’. This incredibly dark video depicts the material side of senseless violence, every visually stunning shot symbolic of the Mitis or gold-touch myth.
The song has a driving, industrial Nine Inch Nails-esque beat with no lyrics, just textured sounds and building sequences that tell a complete story without words. The new Gesaffelstein record Aleph is due out October 28th, check the video and see what all the hype is about.
