40 people were arrested at last night's Above & Beyond gig at Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
Above & Beyond To Release Acoustic Album & Concert Film
This past June, front-running British Trance trio, Above & Beyond, gracefully adapted their own music from years past into a breathtaking, live acoustic show at Porchester Hall in London for 4 sold-out nights.
Complete with a 15-piece band including a string quartet, multiple vocalists, a harpist, and more, Tony, Paavo, and Jono returned to their classical roots; bringing back a tangible connection between artist and instrument that is often lost in the world of dance music.
After such success in London, the guys made their way over to Los Angeles in October for 2 more sold-out performances at the Greek Theater.
Just announced today, Above & Beyond have teamed up with VICE’s Thump for a film documenting the groundbreaking first four shows in London. The piece will air January 24th via Thump’s YouTube channel, and 4 days later the group will release Above & Beyond Acoustic via Anjunabeats/Ultra Music, hosting a dozen acoustic versions of the group’s finest tracks dating back to 2006.
