The five funniest dubstep parodies ever

We’ve passed them around in our emails, shared them on Facebook walls, spread them across Twitter, and now we present them to you: the five funniest dubstep parody videos around. Of course, we here at Beatport News love dubstep to bits, but let’s be honest, there are many angles one could take to poke fun at the heavyweight genre, so why not enjoy them while you can? We invite you to take a look at the lighter side of dubstep below.

Sometimes introducing a friend to dubstep can take a wrong turn, as Comedy Central’s Key & Peele find out in the sketch above. Among the lessons the video purports to teach, “Don’t ever play dubstep while packing fragile things” seems like an obvious one.

College Humor

College Humor takes the Marty McFly-at-the-prom scene from Back to the Future to the next level. McFly ditches the guitar in order to drop the bass. The band is confused, of course, as the wubs come straight from his mouth, but Marvin Skrillex is still feeling it. Watch it here.

Skrillex and Mozart engage in an incredibly epic rap battle, the winner of which is hard to decide, though the 18th-century composer does get some zingers in there, telling Sonny he looks like an “emo Steve Urkel,” amongst other things. It’s worth noting the two probably could have also squared off in a weird haircut battle too—just sayin’.

Watch as this young man tries to prove that “dubstep solves everything,” telling his parents he’s going to drop out of school in order to launch his dubstep career. This one is sort of the dubstep version of DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince’s “Parents Just Don’t Understand,” but—of course—with more bass!

The Hitler rant meme we all know and love finally meets dubstep. Turns out the Führer doesn’t take too kindly to big beats and massive drops, and he doesn’t care who knows it.
