Dario Rossi Superdrummer
Dario Rossi, born in 1988, starts studying drums at the age of ten with Evandro Gabiati, at the Accademia Musicale di Ariccia (Rome).
At 18 he enters the Saint Louis College of Music of Rome to further specialize himself under the supervision of Alex Barberis. At only 12 he begins an intense concert activity with some local bands and mainly the Lost Angels.
In the year 2000 he wins the Festival Degli Sconosciuti organized by Teddy Reno & Rita Pavone, category Gianburrasca. In 2007, as a member of the Italian pop/rock band Omission, he takes part to the celebrated contest Operazione Soundwave, held by the Italian branch of MTV – Music Television.
In 2008 he obtains the first place at the "Freestroke Drum School" contest held in Florence by the famous Italian drummer Maurizio Boco. In the following years he performs as a street drummer in world famous squares such as Piccadilly Circus in London and Alexander Platz in Berlin.
Since 2011 he teaches drums and rhythmic solfège in his own studio in Genzano and at the Arte Musica school in Frattocchie, where he is responsible of the experimental percussions laboratory.
Starting from 2012 he begins professional partnerships with several musical milieu, such as RUM, COMEMAMMAMHAFATTO and MERCATI GENERALI, performing in many important Roman clubs and discos, along with historical theaters and stages like the Auditorium Parco Della Musica, the Ambra Jovinelli and the Teatro Italia.
In 2013 he takes part to the 4-th edition of the well known drum festival Batterika . A few after he graduates at the National Academy LA CASA DEL BATTERISTA of Nettuno (Rome), run by Gianluca Garsia.
In 2014 his performances obtain important media coverage: he provokes a great sensation both via web and being host of the TV programme "Tu si que Vales", on the National Broadcast Canale 5.
At present, he is focused on developing his street drummer activities, extending his exhibitions to the club environment.
