Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2014

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE)

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the world's biggest club festival and leading business platform for artists of electronic music.

475 ivents and 2475's DJs act for five days in 140 clubs and places that share a common theme and atmosphere to create a lively and inspiring Amsterdam club subculture. This year, the ADE was held from 15 to 19 October.

With its flower boxes, cycle lanes and fairy light-strewn canals, Amsterdam provides a blissfully pleasant backdrop for a big night out.

Boiler Room Amsterdam presents a very special night. Three heavy-weights team up for a unique project. Scandinavian jazz masters Bugge Wersseltoft (keyboards) and Dan Berglund (double bass) join the Berlin-based producer Henrik Schwarz and his banks of electronic gear.

The 4DSOUND system is a “spatial instrument” that allows users to “walk through space and experience sound from all directions” where participants are encouraged to “lose orientation”. Max Cooper performed his compositions specially arranged for 4DSOUND.

Once again Dutch drum & bass heroes Noisia invited the top of the bass-scene to the Melkweg. As the party was sold out weeks in advance it was quite crowded, but the atmosphere was friendly and the boxes booming. What more could any bass-lover want?
