BBC Worldwide Production France will produce a one-hour long documentary on the iconic duo for French pay TV channel Canal Plus, to be aired through the station next year.
The Annual Grammy Awards Took Place!
The 56th annual Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Since a few years ago, the category "Best Dance Recording" has been included in the world famous awards more and more dance music artists have grabbed themself one of the famous trophies.
Daft Punk is the big winner of this Grammy Awards edition! They won two of the most prestigious prizes: Record of the Year (for 'Get Lucky' with Pharell Williams and Nile Rodgers) and Album of the Year (Random Access Memories). They also won Best Duo/Group Perfomance for 'Get Lucky', Best Dance/Electronica Album and Best Engineered Album, which makes a total of 5 Grammy Awards!
Zedd won the award for Best Dance Recording for his track 'Clarity' together with Foxes and Cedric Gervais won the award for Best Remix non Classical with his remix of Lana Del Rey's 'Summertime Sadness'.
Pharrell won two Grammys: Producer of the Year, Non-Classical and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance alongside Daft Punk.
Kaskade was nominated for both Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronica Album and, while beaten out by Zedd and Daft Punk, respectively, in his brief interview the producer proclaimed that dance music has come a long way since he first became involved and that after spending time in the shadows the genre is now front and center.
