What is KaZantip? - Huh, we wish we had the answer! We have been looking for the clue since 1992 and it's still somewhere out there. We assume, you too couldn’t satisfy the most important question of your life “What am I?” in a few words. And we don’t mean your name or occupation.
What we know for a fact is what we are definitely not. For example, we know beyond all doubt that we are not a festival, as the press is used to saying (we prefer the word “project”). And we are not the Kazantyp headland in somewhat far Crimea peninsula, as Google Maps would tell you though that’s the very place we initially come from. However, Google Maps will never tell you where to find a very small and tiny – smaller than Vatican City and tinier than Monaco – over-enclosed land not for everyone – The KaZantip Republic, though that’s what we actually are.
So, given this, now you know that The KaZantip Republic is a nonexistent state somewhere under the sun, which people ignorant of Kazantip may find similar to a festival.
V Festival 2014, August 16-17, 2014 Staffordshire, UK
Every August since 1996.
V Festival has been held across two beautiful stately parks for one epic cross-country weekend of live music. V Festival takes place simultaneously at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, and Weston Park in South Staffordshire, with World Class Artists taking to the stage at one venue on the Saturday and the other on the Sunday.
