May 25′s Field Day festival cranks it up in London’s Victoria Park with a lineup that appeals as much to underground dance music fans as it does indie revelers. Alongside acts like Bok Bok, Girl Unit, Jacques Greene, and Daphni will be the likes of Animal Collective, Bat for Lashes, Four Tet, and Fucked Up.
Now into its second decade of bringing top-notch avant-garde electronic music to the North American stage, Montreal’s MUTEK just announced its lineup and, as always, it’s stellar: Robert Hood, Matthew Herbert, Juan Atkins, Andy Stott, and Space Dimension Controller represent a small fraction of what to expect between May 29 and June 2.
Chicago’s Soldier Field gets its own huge to-do with Spring Awakening, which kicks off on June 14 and carries on through June 16. There’s a whack of artists involved, but some of the huge names to take the stage will be Calvin Harris, Moby, ATB, Crystal Method, Dirty South, and Zedd.
This Los Angeles event has got some big headliners, like Knife Party, Bassnectar, Justice, and Dog Blood slated for August 3 and 4, but we’re just as excited about the openers: SBTRKT, Disclosure, Mr. Oizo, Julio Bashmore, and Duke Dumont are just a smattering of what to expect earlier on in the day.
Mysteryland, which takes place in Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands, right outside of Amsterdam, on August 24, will feature the likes of Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, Headhunterz, Chuckie, Caspa, and Porter Robinson on the main stage, with support from tons of artists like Deniz Koyu, Baauer, Skip & Die, Heidi, Visionquest, Gary Beck, and plenty more.
