Didn’t get to go to TomorrowLand? It’s ok, neither did I. However, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike have given everyone the opportunity to relive their epic main stage set thanks to their recent upload to YouTube. 

Before he became the star that’s worked with everyone from Will.I.Am to Akon, the poster boy for dance music’s success that’s taken home Grammy Awards, or the top-ranked headliner of music festivals around the globe, David Guetta had decades of experience beneath his belt. 

No Credentials is a film about the phenomenal intersection of photography and electronic music. We've spent the last few years documenting electronic dance culture and we felt it was time to pull the curtain back on the entire scene in an unprecedented way. 

Fedde Le Grand has had a sizable 2013 to say the least, playing all the major festivals (including Ultra Europe that’s featured in the above video) and releasing a slew of festival fodder. His latest is a collaboration with French producer Michael Calfan called “Lion (Feel The Love)” that’s out today on Beatport and its a floor rocker.

Video has surfaced from Paris Hilton’s DJ debut at Amnesia’s Foam & Diamonds night in Ibiza last night. Its clear within sixty seconds that she probably is actually in control of the decks and that she just sucks at the job. Poor use of the filter knob (a problem she also had in Brazil) and a hack of a mix with a straight up cut of the crossfader all in just over a minute immediately kills the vibe. 

Daft Punk fan site The Daft Club reports that the typically hush-hush robot duo is scheduled to make an appearance on The Colbert Report next week. The news helps to explain Stephen Colbert's random cameo on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon this past Monday, in which he crashed the show by dancing along to "Get Lucky" apropos of nothing. It's not clear whether Daft Punk will give an interview, a performance, or some combination thereof on Colbert's show, but his musical guests usually do a little of both. 

One of the most memorable moments of Tomorrowland 2013 was the back to back to back set from Nicky Romero, David Guetta and Afrojack. Taking over the stage for 2 hours on the festival’s final day, three of the biggest names in dance music populated the booth together and delivered a once-in-a-lifetime festival experience to thousands of fans. With a track list that features the biggest and best from all three of their catalogs, the back to back to back left the most lasting impression of the weekend.

Like many other festivals in his wake, Hardwell‘s late afternoon set on the first day of this year’s Tomorrowland 2013 wowed crowds and took no prisoners. He opens with his new tune “Jumper” with W&W, and runs through a treasure trove of new IDs, private bootlegs and edits — driving the the international Tomorrowland crowd into a full on frenzy of big room electro fun. 

Wake Me Up, the new single of Avicii, has reached the number 1 spot in the UK charts. It is also the fastest selling track this year, beating Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke and Pharell. It sold nearly 267.000 copies in only a week, compared to 76.000 copies of Blurred Lines. 

First of all, who knew Idris Elba (aka The Wire‘s “Stringer Bell”) was a fan of dance music? Second of all, who knew he had an English accent? Okay, the details: Last year, the native Londoner, along with the BBC, assembled a solid documentary on the history of clubbing—basically a top-20 countdown of the most significant events in dance music’s legacy. 

“Jack” has successfully creeped its way from the deep house sets of masters like Maya Jane Coles and Shadow Child to the EDC main stage sets of Calvin Harris and Tiësto. The track was first released by Dirtybird records back in April, and is now seeing a re-release under Atlantic. Breach, the house music alter ego of multitalented singer/songwriter/DJ/producer Ben Westbeech, melded this simple yet incredibly effective track that will continue to be played out across all genres alike until you’re sick of jacking.
