Thanks to a retweet by DJ Diplo, students of Carly McKinney, a 23-year-old math teacher at Overland High School in Aurora, Colo., had their eyes opened up to a whole new side of their teacher — her backside. 

I think it’s safe to say that high school was a pretty awkward and embarrassing time for most if not all of us; and apparently, that holds true even if you’re on the verge on becoming a superstar DJ. Take a look and have a laugh at the list of what I think must be the most awkward high school photos in the history of electronic music. 

This past weekend, Los Angeles got hard with the annual HARD Summer music festival taking over downtown Los Angeles. Featuring artists like Tommy Trash, Dog Bloog, Duck Sauce, Empire of the Sun, Justice, Knife Party and more, it was a festival experience that people will remember for a lifetime. 

Moments before Flying Lotus’s set on Saturday of HARD Summer, a man was transported to the nearby LAC+USC Medical Center for what has been reported as cardiac distress. According to SPIN Magazine, who were on the ground at the event, paramedics were unable to resuscitate the man on site. LA Weekly reports that; “A 25-year-old male was found unresponsive, pulseless and non-breathing at the venue by a team of veteran LAFD paramedics. He was transported in grave condition to L.A. County-USC Medical Center.”

Just twenty-three years old, New York native Jesse Marco has quickly solidified himself as one of America’s premiere deejays. As a teenager, Jesse, heavily influenced by his parents’ vast record collection, began to fuse rock, punk, soul, and funk with the hip-hop of his generation. “My parents musical tastes really shaped mine. My first cassette was Led Zeppelin and my second was Sam Cooke.” 

Armin van Buuren took to Tomorrowland‘s massive Main Stage last night with more than his usual trance-packed USB. Last night was special for the world’s number one DJ, and he made sure to let the world know. Announcing that he came straight from the hospital, Armin revealed that his wife had just given birth to their new son. Delivering the announcement with pride and emotion, Armin was visibly watery-eyed as he went on to dedicate his set to his newly born child.
