Pasquale Rotella About a New Experience

Pasquale Rotella

I remember the moment I fell in love with this culture. My friends Seth, Sear and AM took me to my first underground party at a warehouse in downtown L.A. We were surrounded by so many different people from so many different walks of life, all grooving to one perfect beat.

Since Insomniac started back in 1993, dance music experienced so many peaks and valleys, but the culture has always been there—kept alive and celebrated by the people who aren’t afraid to hold on to that sense of wonder and excitement. Insomniac has always strived to stay genuine and respect the people and things that drive this movement forward. For me, this new website represents the next step in that journey. Like our record label, it expands and strengthens our commitment to supporting this music around the world.

I can’t tell you how excited I am for this re-launch. Our entire team has put so many late nights and weekends into making this a reality. We’ve got a passionate group of writers, editors, artists and photographers on board who live and breathe this music’s past, present and future. We have a rich history that goes all the way back to the days of disco and B-boy culture, and whatever the future holds for dance music, Insomniac will be there to celebrate it.
