Daft Punk

BBC Worldwide Production France will produce a one-hour long documentary on the iconic duo for French pay TV channel Canal Plus, to be aired through the station next year.

Directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre and co-written by Marina Rozenman, the film will chart Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo's rise to prominence through the 90s to the present day, as they revolutionise dance music, become the leading figures of the French Touch scene and the world's favourite pair of musically-talented robots.

During their 20-year career, the duo energized the European techno house scene and sold more than 12 million albums worldwide. They also won six Grammy Awards.

Gellé, executive producer of BBC Worldwide Productions France’s documentary division, said the doc was the “first independent movie on the iconic group .”
