This year, roughly 30,000 Burners will descend on Black Rock City for the most transformative week of their lives. But if you don’t already have a ticket to Burning Man 2016, odds are you won’t be one of them.
Because when Burning Man opened their general ticket sale – and within less than 35 minutes, every last ticket was sold out. Would-be Burners had to register last week for their chance to pick up to one of the USD$390 (AUD$517) tickets. But more than half of those hoping to make the pilgrimage missed out.
If you’re still desperate to be there, there are ways.
Burning Man’s ticket resale program STEP opens on April 27, giving buyers a secure way to purchase resale tickets at face value. Then on August 3, the festival will hold their annual last-minute OMG sale, which is open to anyone who has registered and didn’t already purchase tickets in a previous sale. This year’s Burning Man takes place from August 29 – September 5 in northern Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.
